Hello, Parents. I’m excited to tell you that my student teaching unit on Weather and Seasons will soon begin! As I mentioned before, I will be pursing a special award called the Michigan Certificate for Outstanding Achievement in Teaching with Technology. The award is based on achieving high levels of performance on a set of educational technology standards for entering teachers known as the Michigan Seventh Standard that has been established by the Michigan Department of Education.

After student teaching, I will be producing an electronic portfolio that consists of about eight web pages. I will submit this portfolio to the judging committee this spring. At the bottom of this page, you will find a release that would allow me to use your student’s work and pictures of children working as examples of my teaching in technology. No names will be used on any student work samples/pictures that are used. Please thoughtfully consider allowing your child’s work to be part of my portfolio and fill out the appropriate section of the release. Thank you,
