Candidates will identify and apply educational and technology-related research, the psychology of learning, and instructional design principles in guiding use of computers and technology in education.
4.1.1 Summarize and apply principles and practices of educational research in educational technology.
WHAT I DID TO ACCOMPLISH THIS: During EDMT 602 (Technology and Student Centered Learning) and 628 (The Use and Design of Online Resources in Education) I read published writing that covered such topics as, but not limited to, the Digital Divide, how to assess how interactive a distance learning class, and what the Big Six and Super Three are.

4.1.2 Summarize major research findings and trends related to the use of technology in education to support integration of technology in a K-12 environment.
WHAT I DID TO ACCOMPLISH THIS: In EDMT 602 I put together a Microsoft Publisher brochure that gave on overview of what the Digital Divide is and how educators can help in bridging that gap.

4.1.3 Apply theories of learning, teaching, and instructional design and their relationship to the use of technology to support learning.
WHAT I DID TO ACCOMPLISH THIS: In EDMT 623, Instructional Design, we learned about Patricia Smith and Tillman Ragan's form of instructional design and put it to use as we designed and put together a unit on a social issue that students today are facing.
