Assessing online learning / Patricia Comeaux, editor. Bolton, Mass. : Anker Pub. Co., c2005.
3rd Level
LB2328.15.U6 A88 2005

This book tells us that assessment is a way to improve instruction and learning. The text also rel;ates the benfits of online assessment. The assessment strategy must be ongoing, valid and reliable as well as comprehensive. "Assessment provides data on learners' performance for grading purposes as well as information on the effectiveness of the instruction" ( p. 38). This reference also tells how to develop online learning strategies and that e-assessment must be quantitative as well as qualitative. Assessment should play a crucial role in helping students become effective online collaborators. This book is a wonderful reference for distance learning teachers and administrators.
