MapYourBuddies is a Mashup of Facebook, Google Maps and Amazon.

MapYourBuddies uses the API's from Facebook, Google Maps and Amazon.

MapYourBuddies displays -after you have signed in to Facebook- your Facebook friends on a Google Map by using their
hometown locations. Moreover, you get an Amazon gift recommendation for a CD according to the Facebook music information from your friends.

MapYourBuddies is a NON-Commercial University Project, we (André, Thomas and Joern) developed in the
context of our Graduation Capstone Course IS696 (Enterprise Information Systems Integration) at the
Eastern Michigan University (CIS) in winter 2007. The focus of this project was the integration (Mashup) of different web services (and not CSS layout or design). Therefore and to keep the "look and feel" of a Facebook application, we used for the layout the Facebook CSS files as a basis and modified and extended them.

This Mashup is not supported by Facebook.

Final Iteration (3) Notes: For future iterations and improvements we could imagine to:

• Offer a sorting function for the friends list
• Display markers according to the Zoom Level
• Process the birthdate information of the friends to display a birthday list or highlight the friends in the friends list
• Adding a link from the friends Info Window to the city Info Window (currently we just have a link from the city Info Window to the friends Info Window
• Improve the Login Session Management and the Logout
