As associate professor and librarian at Eastern Michigan University's Library, I work to improve library services for instruction, learning and research. I coordinate outreach to EMU faculty through our liaison program; I offer reference assistance and classroom instruction on library research; I am the subject librarian for Foreign Languages & Bilingual Studies and Sociology, Anthropology and Criminology; and I help maintain the library's resources for Asian Studies. My current research projects include: libraries and librarianship in India, and library services for international students. In 2008 I will spend January-April in Hikone, Japan at the JCMU teaching an anthropology class and soaking up as much as I can about Japanese librarianship. My Education:
