Conclusion

There were several reasons for having you investigate Japanese Internment Camps.

  • We wanted you to know about the demoralizing history of the exiled Japanese Americans.

  • We also wanted you to have an opportunity to find information about Japanese internment and then use the information to address the problem of people being unaware of this significant time in U.S. history.

  • In addition, we wanted you to understand how the subjects (English/Language Arts, Social Studies, Technology and Art) you learn in school are related and can be used to solve problems.

  • Finally, we wanted you to have an opportunity to work with other students as a team.

You should know that you too can overcome difficult situations that may occur in your lifetime. You must believe in yourself and persevere in times of adversity.
