Evaluation


As you are huddled together with your Truth Magazine Editor arrives with an opportunity for you to take action. The Truth Magazine will be having a special edition about Japanese Americans that will include the documentation that you developed during your investigation. Additional you will be on radio talk shows, be part of a debate panel, and facilitate town hall meetings.

You should notify the editor (your teacher) when you are ready to move forward.

Put the following documents in a three-ring binder.

  • historical timeline
  • informational flyer
  • letter to the U.S. Congress
  • Reparations Rap and trademark

Schedule a date with the editor (your teacher) to do your five-minute oral presentation for new arrivals about life in the internment camp.

Put the following documents in a three-ring binder:

  • historical timeline
  • five-eight page handbook to prepare the new arrivals for life in the internment camp
  • radio talk show script about how life in the internment camp impacted Japanese American life
  • brochure on how Japanese Americans can receive reparations
  • handouts of your continuously running presentation (that will be used during your debate)

Schedule a date with the editor (you teacher) for the debate for which you will be panelists.


Create a master CD that contains the following information:

  • historical timeline
  • the newsletter titled "Freedom Reigns" including the editorial that compares Iraq and the events of 9/11/2001 to World War II
  • the Reparations web page for Japanese Americans
  • charts which statistically compares Iraq and the events of 9/11/2001 to World War II
  • multimedia presentation and survival tips handout (to be used during your ten-minute oral presentation)

Schedule a date with the editor (you teacher) for your town hall meeting in which you will give a ten-minute oral presentation on life in the internment camp.
