Management Institute Fundraiser

Hi, my name is Nora Curiel and I am an undergraduate student at Eastern Michigan University. I am a member of an organization called American Humanics; through them, I intend to earn a nonprofit management certificate.

One of the requirements for this certificate is participation in an American Humanics Management Institute (AHMI). I wish to attend the institute January of 2004. It costs $250 to register and another $267 for the hotel room. Additionally, I have to pay my way to fly from Miami, where I will be spending New Years, to Kansas City, MO and from Kansas City after the Institute back home to Detroit Metro Airport.

There are many benefits to me as a student that come from attending this conference. It will help me earn a prestigous nonprofit management certificate, it will be an excellent networking opportunity, and I will have hands on learning experiences that will help me and my fellow students become the future leaders of the nonprofit sector.

Please consider donating to this cause. I will work on getting it certified through fundAfriend. Know that American Humanics students do at least 300 hours of community service work in order to earn their certificates and that often we are not paid for this work. In donating, you will not only be helping myself and possibly other students go to conference, you will be supporting the spirit of volunteerism and service in today's college students.
