About Me

Didn't the title explain this?

As I stated on the front page I am a CET and currently going to EMU majoring in Speech Pathology.  I am (groan) 33 years old and after many changes concerning what I want to be when I grow up I have finally decided that I was right when I was 5 and I want to be Batman.  I guess I'll settle for something within the realm of possibility, though.

You may be wondering why I'm not in school for Electronics/Electrical Engineering when I have certifications in electronics, a history of designing and building circuits and systems, and really enjoy working with them.  Well, I have some specific requirements for my career and engineering does not meet them all.  I feel that I need a career that cannot be effectively outsourced, offers excellent retirement benefits after a reasonably short amount of time, involves problem solving skills, pays well enough to support my lavish lifestyle (I feed my dogs EVERY day!), and offers me new challenges all the time.

In case you're interested, here are some pictures of my workshop:

The first picture is the left side of the workshop and each successive picture moves somewhat to the right of the lab although there is overlap.    Essentially I use the table on the left side to do electronic work and the table on the right to do fabrication work, I use the corner where the tables meet as the area to combine structural/mechanical systems with electrical systems.
