This writing
assignment has two parts. First, write a 20 or fewer word "text" of
any type and on any subject that uses "technologies" found in nature,
around where you live, and/or created by you. Second, write a five page or so
word-processed essay that explains how you created the first part of this
writing experiment, what the first part of the writing experiment exposed (or
didn't) for you about the relationship between writing and technology.
Have our habits of reading and writing become fundamentally different as a result of contemporary computer technology? Have technological advances damaged or enhanced the way we work with writing? Write a five to seven page essay that explores these and similar questions
Given all of the reading, blog
writing, and discussing that we have been doing in the past couple of weeks,
what elements of style do you think are most important?
Write a four or so page essay, one that
quotes from the books and potentially the blog writings completed by you and
your colleagues, that provides your version of an answer to this open-ended
question.
