Webfinancial is website that was created by four graduates designed to attract potential investors seeking company financial performance information. Each individual has their own unique capabilities that aided in creating the interface. The idea orginated from one individual's idea to use XBRL filings, extracting documents by tag names, ids and filing dates to create a website. After extracting this elements, they are integrated into a XML coding that uses a HTTP request to call each function from a server.
This four individuals, Anthony Taylor, Ryan Vandael, Vershon Watson and Tanika Parrish, created the website as a capstone project and here is more information about each individual.
Anthony Taylor, a C.I.S. graduate of Eastern Michigan University, is a hard-working, creative individual who thought of the idea of integrating XBRL filings with XML code. His creative abilities lead the team to invent a unique website to display important company statement figures.
Ryan Vandael, a C.I.S. graduate also of E.M.U, who is proficient in php programming. His excellent programming skills along with intuitive abilities to think of different ways of implementing the ideas into Webfinancial's backend process led to the creation of the website.
Vershon Watson, a C.I.S. graduate, who is also a business intellectual aided the process by adding his ideas on the interfaces front end. He uses his programming skills to build the physical look of the interface to insure the websites user friendly ability.
Tanika Parrish, a C.I.S. graduate, who is a determined individual aided by providing some information to be added into the backend. She used her prior knowledge of programming to aid in the development of the physical look of the interface. Her social ability allowed her to communicate with each individual to assist in any aspect of the website's creation.
