We owe special thanks to Tom & Jackie for helping us put everything together so that we can build the house. With out them, we wouldn't be building.
We also owe thanks to everyone that has come out to help with the house. With out you, we wouldn't be as far as we are.
One of the highlights of this past weekend was the adventure of moving a rock. The adventure started when Johnís Mom saw a rock a couple of feet off the back of our property. Mom and I decided that we wanted the rock for the front of my house but knew that we couldnít just take it. It wasnít on our property and taking it would be stealing. We also knew that it was big enough that it could easily be missed by the owners if they were looking. Ryan (the wonderful guy & best friend that he is) said that he would go ask the neighbor to see if we could take the rock. The nice neighbor said that we could take it if we could move it. So the boys feeling like strong young men tried to pull it themselves. The rock didnít budge. So we asked Johnís Dad if he could try to move it with his tractor. With many tries he was able to move it onto our property. YEAH!!! Now it was ours!!! Then he came to the slight incline of our hill where he could push it no more. A little him hawing over the dilemma, the boys decided to see if Johnís Dad could pull it with his tractor. He was able to pull it a little further before getting suck. The next attempt was to try to pull the tractor that is pulling the rock with Johnís truck. Again this worked to get the rock a little further before the tractor started to get stuck. Good thing that the boys were determined that the rock would not win this round. The next attempt had the tractor pushing with the truck pulling. This again worked to move the rock further onto our property. After this last attempt, it was decided that the rock was far enough onto our property that the guy that is going to do the final grade can move the rock the rest of the way to front of the house. End result. After a long day of work, moving a rock can be a lot of entertainment.
