Eagle Condor

Eagle-Condor Humanitarian focuses on remediating chronic, or generational poverty with its Children's Program. We are providing relief to children whose families live on less than a dollar a day

El Bichito is located outside of Cajamarca, Peru, and is considered a "Drop-in Center". This area suffers from the highest chronic poverty in Peru. These are children, living in generational poverty, who would otherwise not attend school, or do so irregularly because they would either need to tend to siblings or work to provide food for their families. 50+ children are fed daily.

Semillas - People who flee because of violence and resettle within their own country are classified as "Internally Displaced Persons" or IDPs. In Nueva Colombia, the main cause for resettlement has been violence from the longest on-going armed conflict in the Western Hemisphere. Over 200,000 people have lost their lives due to the war. Nueva Colombia, outside of Cartagena, is the village where Semillas de Aamor is located working with IDPs - families who are classified as chronically/generationally poor living in chronic poverty. Squatter villages, or invasiones, have no legal status thus no government services such as plumbing, electricity, nor a functioning school. The children have a multitude of emotional-behavioral issues due to these harsh circumstances - often turning to prostitution and gangs at a young age. ECH has partnered with local women to provide a youth center where 120 children from this community come for a daily meal and tutoring/mentoring, in exchange for going to school.

ECH helped build a school kitchen and community garden that will sustain the community long after we're gone. The money we send each month goes to supplement the school lunch program which feeds about 100 children each day and motivates them to stay in school.

Self Reliant Associations are the change agent necessary for individuals to transition out of generational poverty. A family sponsorship includes six months of Self Reliant Training where participants learn strategies necessary to create, implement and develop three important life plans:

  1. Business - Managing a business more effectively and increase their income.
  2. Quality of Life - Finding fulfillment, mental and emotions peace, and individual and family balance.
  3. Community Action - Working with their association and community to improve their neighborhood through community projects and problem solving
